Description:
 
This fish is similar to Acanthurus coeruleus (Blue Tang) when young except that this species has no blue around its eyes. The general shape of it's head eyes and mouth can also be determined by those who have studied them in detail. The shape of the mouth is particularly important showing that this fish eats algae and similar plant life due to the shape and size.
