Shipping Fish One of the questions I get asked frequently, is "How do you ship fish clear across the US?" The Nitrogen Cycle and Fishless Cycling Cycling is the process of establishing colonies of beneficial bacteria in your filter. Fish waste is basically ammonia and is toxic to your fish. As your tank ages ammonia converts from ammonia until Nitrogen as part of the Nitrogen Cycle.  Click here to learn more about this process and how to cycle your tank with or without fish in it..

Breeding Angelfish Pterophyllum Scalare are relatively easy to breed, once you have established that you do indeed have a pair. There is no surefire method of sexing these fish by looking at them, so you have to wait for them to decide on the mate of their choice. They prefer soft, acidic water, but they are successfully kept and bred in an extremely varied array of water conditions. The main thing to keep an eye on is water quality.

We have replaced the message forums software on this site from UBB over to phpBB. Some users had commented that they did not like the UBB software so I registered littlefishtank.org as a new domain and installed phpBB over there. Fixed navigation bar for Netscape 6+ and Mozilla 1 and 1.5 users.
1/10/2004 11:12:15 PM
Also repaired CSS styles that control the Last Posts display on the front page for these browsers as well. IE is still the preferred browser but this update will fix the automatic resizing on the navbar for IE, Netscape 6+ and Mozilla users. Still working on the exact resize formula for the nav bar. Depending on the size of your window and whether there is a scroll bar this changes size to either fit perfectly or stick out a few pixels too far alot too. If anyone has a javascript program that can accurately fix this.. let me know... :)
